Thorntons: "Edible Chocolate" Billboard

Creator: Barry Colenso, Uk

In London, Barry Colenso designed for Chocolatier Thorntons a giant 390kg (860lb) edible chocolate billboard for the Easter season. The billboard was constructed by a team of 10 chocolatiers who spent 300 hours putting it together using ten massive chocolate bunnies, 72 giant chocolate eggs, and 128 panels made of pure chocolate. The billboard lasted just three hours after the company invited passers-by to eat it.

"The Back Seat's No Safer. Belt Up"

Agency: Clement BBDO, Australia

Here is a unique way to remind people to buckle up in the back seat. Created by Clement BBDO in Austalia, this billboard displays a huge slingshot in 3d which appears to propel a passenger into the air. The message is clear, belt up or your body will be slinked.

Formula Toothcare: "Builds Strong Teeth"

Agency: Ogilvy & Mather, Jakarta, Indonesia

In Indonesia, Ogilvy & Mather created for Formula Toothcare a creative billboard showing a man trying to rip it with his teeth. The ad is an attempt to convince people to build better teeth by using the toothpaste brand of the company. Even though we don't know whether it worked to drive up sales, we are sure that it caused people to have a wider smile.

Bic Razor: "Grass Cutter" Billboard

Agency: Anonymous

This billboard is one of the most creative advertisements found on the highways. Created by Bic, it shows a giant razor that shaves the grass all the way up to the billboard portraying the image of a powerful razor. Except for the constant trimming of the lawn, this advertisement looks very effective.

Heineken: "Beer, anyone?”

Agency: TBWA/NEBOKO, Netherlands

This billboard is part of the "Beer, anyone?” campaign by TBWA/NEBOKO for Heineken in Netherlands. Here you see a huge hand that reaches from behind the fabric giving the illusion that is grasping a bottle of Heineken. The ad is surely a giant hand for Heineken who doesn't hesitate to push outdoor advertisement to a new dimension.

Adidas: “Impossible is nothing”

Agency: TWBA, Germany

Adidas presents the evolution of its brand campaign "Impossible is Nothing" by placing this billboard on a bridge construction site. Created by TWBA, the ad shows a gigantic photo of German goalkeeper Oliver Kahn crossing the highway to save a goal by the Munich airport. Apparently, impossible is the last shot for Adidas who can transform a bridge into a goalkeeper.

The Economist: "Light Bulb” Billboard

Agency: Abbott Mead Vickers BBDO, UK

This ad from The Economist recently won a prize at the London International Advertising Awards for their bright concept. Created by Abbott Mead Vickers BBDO, this billboard shows a light bulb that illuminates whenever someone walks under it by hooking some electric motion sensors under the sign. Althought it's a brilliant idea, let's just hope it doesn't rain.
